Getting to 5 on the Gartner ITScore Maturity Model with Behavior Learning Engines
By Graham Gillen
Attending the Gartner Infrastructure and Operations Management show a few weeks ago, I was very pleasantly surprised to see how prominent “Behavior Learning Engines” or “Behavior Learning Technology” was – mentioned in at least 5 sessions on IT Operations and/or Application Performance Monitoring.
What was even more interesting was a session entitled “Achieving Proactive, Predictive, Business-Aligned Availability and Performance Monitoring” where Gartner analyst Jonah Kowall discussed a technology category called “IT Operations Analytics” that had the promise to help organizations prevent significant outages and service degradations.
Behavior Learning engines were featured among the different types of analytics and is, in fact, now “baked” into the Gartner ITScore Maturity Model. Essentially, this is saying that to be a “best-in-class” company achieving the highest level of partnership between IT and the business, companies need to leverage behavior learning technology and also correlate IT metrics to Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) data. This is exactly what another Gartner analyst (Jim Sinur) said in a blog entry recently.
And this happens to be exactly what Netuitive can do for a company. So, to all the enterprises out there, do you want to get to “5”? We can take you there ... one service at a time.
