COMPANY HISTORY

Netuitive History

Netuitive was originally founded to develop and commercialize the theorized "Rapid Learning" system that was the focus of research in mathematical statistics and neural networks at UC-Berkeley and the University of South Carolina in the 1980s and 1990s. A ground-breaking paper published the year of the company's founding described the world's first real-time computing system designed exclusively for continuously adaptive monitoring and forecasting. Today, Netuitive's innovative Behavior Learning Engine™ incorporates nine patented technologies resulting from these two decades of combined academic and commercial research and development.

In 2002, Netuitive launched a new go-to-market strategy that focused on applying its predictive analytics technology to the requirements of enterprise systems performance management. Columbia Capital and Flagship Ventures were among the early investors that enabled Netuitive to bring its products to market. Then to help scale operations, MK Capital and Cross Creek Capital joined as investors in 2007 and Rembrandt Venture Partners in 2010.

In 2004, the company introduced its Netuitive SI product, featuring Netuitive Trusted Alarms®. In that year, Netuitive SI was also private labeled by NetIQ and BMC, two of the world's leading performance management software companies.

In 2006, the company introduced Netuitive Service Analyzer, delivering truly automated business services management and an unprecedented end-to-end view of service health. This was followed by the 2007 introduction of Netuitive SI for VMware, the first self-learning performance management solution for complex and rapidly changing virtual environments.

Product integrations introduced in 2008 further expanded Netuitive's reach across various platforms and infrastructures, providing self-learning predictive analytics capabilities to the industry's largest user bases. These included integrations with CA eHealth Network Performance Manager, HP Operations Manager, IBM Tivoli Management, BMC Patrol, Microsoft Operations Manager, NetIQ, VMware and others.

More important, for the third year running, Netuitive in 2008 achieved a 100 percent customer win record over competitors in head-to-head technical evaluations.

In 2009, Netuitive focused its attention on enterprise-scale virtualization deployments, or virtual data centers, and took home the Best of VMworld Award in the Virtualization Management category. Despite — or perhaps even because of — the difficult economic climate, Netuitive continued to experience record growth in 2009. Netuitive solutions deliver measurable financial benefits for any organization looking to conserve resources in an uncertain economy. This was borne out by a customer survey by EMA that found customers realize a 700% ROI on Netuitive software.

Netuitive’s continued success in 2010 has been driven largely by customers’ recognition of the technology’s proven benefits in ensuring the performance of virtual data centers and cloud infrastructures — and its role in improving capacity planning and management for these complex and dynamic environments.  Netuitive predictive analytics has been chosen by hundreds of direct and OEM customers, including eight of the world’s biggest banks, two of the largest telcos and many government agencies.

As IT organizations search for new solutions to assure the performance of mission-critical applications and their virtual and physical environments, Netuitive will continue to raise the standard for fully automated proactive management.
