BMC Software Licenses Netuitive

Netuitive Self-Learning Software Chosen for Dynamic Thresholding and Trusted Alarms Capability

Reston, VA – February 7, 2005 – Netuitive, Inc., a leader in real-time analysis software for business service management, today announced that BMC Software (NYSE: BMC), a leading provider of enterprise management solutions, has licensed Netuitive SI for use within its industry leading PATROL® suite of software. The new BMC Software solution will be branded as PATROL Analytics. PATROL Analytics relies on Netuitive's patented Real-time Analysis Engine to enable automated threshold administration and to deliver Trusted Alarms™, the industry's most accurate and reliable indicators of impending performance degradation. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Using Netuitive technology, PATROL Analytics delivers next-generation automation for IT environments. It also identifies abnormal conditions with Trusted Alarms, before they turn into service-impacting problems. Netuitive Trusted Alarms represent a composite analysis from as many as thirty performance variables and provide plain English interpretations of system issues.
