Netuitive Selects Jean-François Huard as Vice President of Research and Development

Reston, VA -February 5, 2002 - Netuitive®, Inc., a service management software company that offers the industry's most accurate and reliable indicator of impending performance failures - Trusted Alarms™, announced today the appointment of Jean-Francois Huard as Vice President of Research and Development. Huard has responsibility for the company's research, development and engineering organizations.

Prior to joining Netuitive, Huard was Chief Network Architect and Vice President of Network Engineering at InvisibleHand Networks, a start-up company that provides software enabling IP network service providers to dynamically manage, sell, and allocate IP bandwidth. Earlier, he led the technology team at Xbind, Inc., which developed a programmable middleware to enable service creation, deployment, and management of real-time services on multimedia networks.

Huard began his career at AT&T Bell Labs, focusing on decision-theoretic approaches for troubleshooting performance degradation due to software, hardware, and configuration problems. While at AT&T, Huard received a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University. Huard has contributed to the definition of the international MPEG-4 standard, and was chair and technical editor of the IEEE P1520.2 working group.

Huard's team has obtained patents for key technologies, including: Concurrent Learning and Information Processing System; and Multi-Kernel Neural Network Concurrent Learning, Monitoring & Forecasting System. These systems comprise the core self-learning intelligence feature of Netuitive's network performance software. Additional patents are pending.
