Netuitive Provides Next-generation Automation to Microsoft Operations Manager, Netuitive SI Delivers Powerful Real-time Analysis Capabilities to MOM Customers
Reston, VA – August 16, 2005 – Netuitive, Inc., the leader in real-time analysis software for business service management (BSM), today announced that its software for systems management, Netuitive SI, is available to Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) customers. By using Netuitive SI in conjunction with MOM, customers can fully automate their threshold administration, eliminate false alert activity, and deliver Trusted Alarms™, the industry's most accurate and reliable indicators of impending performance degradation.
“Microsoft is pleased to see Netuitive SI for MOM 2005 which provides customers with additional Windows Server performance management capabilities. MOM 2005, part of the Dynamic Systems initiative, helps IT teams capture knowledge in management packs resulting in more manageable and automated IT systems,” stated Felicity McGourty, director of marketing in the Windows and Enterprise Management division at Microsoft. “With Netuitive’s extensions to MOM 2005 we are able to provide even more comprehensive support for our customers.”
According to a recent report by Gartner, it is the job of the deployment team to filter alerts and properly set thresholds so that the operations team can focus on pertinent issues that affect services. The main reason management tools often fail to reach their potential is because companies lack the proper processes and procedures.1
Netuitive’s SI software automates threshold administration for performance management solutions and dramatically speeds problem resolution for systems administrators while reducing 99.5 percent of false alerts. The software integrates seamlessly with current monitoring infrastructures, uses existing agents and consoles, and deploys in just hours. With today’s announcement, MOM customers can use Netuitive SI to leverage and extend their current investments and reap the benefits of a comprehensive performance monitoring solution that helps to prioritize IT investments, resolve problems, streamline workflows and measure value based on IT’s direct impact on business operations.
According to Mark Marshall, IT Director of Ruesch International, the addition of Netuitive SI enables Ruesch to proactively predict and better manage its enterprise systems. “The added benefit of Netuitive’s integration with MOM will enable us to quickly and easily automate our threshold administration, and more importantly, it predicts failures before they occur,” said Marshall. “This product gives us much more confidence to effectively manage our service levels. Netuitive SI is an invaluable addition to MOM.”
“Although having the ability to monitor enterprise systems is a ‘must-have’ in any organization, making use of today’s traditional performance monitoring tools is extremely difficult due to an organization’s constantly changing environment,” stated Nicola Sanna, president and CEO of Netuitive. “Netuitive SI dramatically decreases false alerts and speeds problem resolution, enabling companies to spend more time on driving business initiatives.”
